The Founders

ALESSANDRO PIRÈS was founded by Riccardo Pirès and Miriam Hernandez in Chicago. Riccardo has extensive experience as a custom clothier for over 5+ years, originally having founded The Dapper Club. Miriam and Ricardo got together over 2 years ago and, shortly after, Miriam joined the business.

Originally catering to a predominantly male industry, they began to have a lot of success with not just men, but women as well. Miriam’s love for fashion and keen eye for style led her to develop the women’s side of the business.

As they helped more and more couples and engaged couples, they started seeing a consistent issue with communication between the couples regarding what to wear to events and weddings. It was a constant battle of either the man outdressing the woman or vice-versa; this sparked the idea of Miriam designing womenswear that would complement the suits they made for their male clients.

That’s what sparked the idea of ALESSANDRO PIRÈS: a designer clothier that specializes in both men’s AND women’s suiting and formalwear. Having this brand allowed them to be personal designers not just to their everyday clients, but to couples as well. By collaborating and coordinating their custom designs, they were able to create extraordinary looks for couples that perfectly complemented one another.

“We see that couples love it when they dress up for each other and they COMPLEMENT each other. You don’t necessarily have to match, but if I design a suit that looks great on my client, Miriam designs a dress to the liking of his significant other and that complements him, and vice versa. It allows for each of them to express their own personal style, but also find that common ground to complement each other at the same time.”

The name ALESSANDRO PIRÈS is inspired by their two daughters, whom they had separately, but coincidentally have the same name: Alessandra, aka “The Alessandras.” PIRÈS derives from Riccardo’s last name, and is also the name of their casual line of menswear that recently launched.

The mission of ALESSANDRO PIRÈS is to provide high-quality handmade garments to both men and women, helping them achieve a customized look that is unparalleled by anything else on the market. Whether it’s making a statement at the office, being well-dressed with your significant other for an event, or for your big wedding day, we will make sure that your individual look (or couple’s look) is designed to perfection.
